"Death Penalty For Spammers" on Ebay

Here's a chance to make Cafe Press' mistake your bargain! I ordered a couple of our shirts, Death Penalty For Spammers and 1984 Redux, from Cafe Press recently. But by mistake, they sent me two Death Penalty For Spammers shirts. It's a good shirt, and I like it a lot, but I just don't need two of them.

So we're selling the extra one on Ebay. It's brand-new, never worn; size XL. Check out the product page; this puppy usually goes for $18.99. But you know what our minimum price is on the Ebay auction?

One cent.

And you know how much shipping will be?

Free.

So what the heck? Hop over and make a bid. To make it worth your while, there's some second rate, goofy creative fiction over there in the description. It starts like this:
ATTENTION, People of Earth!

There has been a grave misunderstanding between our peoples. Please help us to rectify this problem before this intergalactic incident boils over and we are left with no choice but to vaporize your puny, backwater planet.

One of the Juniorstaff on our star cruiser - don't think we didn't warn him about interacting with the Planet Under Observation - placed an order from one of your Commerce Organizations, "Cafe Press"...

See the auction for the rest of the story.

Binary Keyboard

Okay, we're still here, and we're still working on YABSR (Yet Another Big Site Redesign). Soon, soon; be patient. Nobody's wants to be done with it more than me.

But until then, here's a brand new design to hold you over. I give you number 167:

Binary Keyboard

Zeros and ones - what more does the machine need? And if you really connect with it, you don't need higher-level things like letters and words getting in the way.

Power

Brand new - our 166th design - the universal power symbol:

Power

Feeling powerless? Try this on for size, and at least you'll be able to turn yourself on (or off).

Live Long And Prosper

Brand new, our 165th design. (I claimed 165 in yesterday's post - looks like that total included this one.)

Live Long And Prosper

Rumor has it that Leonard Nimoy originally wanted Spock's catchphrase to be, "What'chu talkin' 'bout, Willis?" Thankfully he settled on this instead.

Note that this design, and all the trekkie designs, have been moved into the "Movie" category.

The Great Design Layoff

At long (very very VERY long) last, we have gotten our collective Far Out act together and pruned out about 80 lame designs from our catalog. We overcame tremendous obstacles, including (but not limited to): laziness, lack of interest, boredom, sleepiness, a vacation to the beach, typographical errors, hiring new partners and of course, the World Cup. The product, which we are proud to present, is a lean, mean and uncluttered catalog of designs.

In addition to dropping some designs that were basically filler - no need to be coy about it now - we've also shuffled things around a good bit, category-wise. Where we used to have 20 categories, now we have 9. This is related to the design cuts, but is also in anticipation of yet another site redesign (foreshadowing!). I mean, this tired old design we have now is pushing almost seven months of age. Anyway, more on that in coming days (or weeks, or hell, maybe months, depending on the tremendous obstacles we have to overcome again).

The grand total of cool, clever and original designs we have has been bumped back down to 165, but that number will be climbing again real soon.
